With the following options, you can start planning and organizing your party with ease since you will feel more confident that the day will turn out to be really fun and enjoyable.

#1 – Bubbles

If you are looking for an activity that’s guaranteed to leave your toddler in awe, then you can use the magic of bubbles. All kids love bubbles, making it an incredible fill-in game in case you need to bide time.

Just give parents bubble wands so they can start filling the air with bubbles. Toddlers and kids will surely have an incredible time popping and following the bubbles.

#2 – Face Painting

Another activity that will surely be a hit among toddlers during the party you are organizing is face painting. A lot of toddlers will definitely enjoy having their faces painted with their favorite characters, objects, or any form of art.

You can choose to ask someone you know who has a talent for face painting to do this job. You may also hire someone. Note, though, that parents do not have to be extremely creative if they decide to paint the faces of their kids on their own since even if the design is simple, their kids will still surely find it incredible.

    #3 – Balloon Games

Just like bubbles, balloons are also among the things that keep toddlers and kids in awe. Take advantage of their love for balloons by using these items as your props for exciting games and activities. Among the games and activities that use balloons and are also perfect for toddlers and kids’ parties are the following:

    • Balloon volleyball – Build a net in your party venue, allowing two teams composed of toddlers to play volleyball using balloons. The mechanics of the game would be the same as the actual volleyball – ensuring that the balloon remains in the air after hitting it.

In other words, the team should never let the balloon reach the ground; otherwise, the other team will garner a point. Whoever gets ten points first will be the winning team.

    • Spoon and balloon race – You can look at this race as a more fun and exciting version of the popular spoon and egg race. What you should do is give a big mixing spoon and balloon to every participating toddler.

Tell the toddlers that the game requires them to run or walk to another side as they try to balance the balloon on the mixing spoon. The goal should be to prevent the balloon from hitting the ground; otherwise, the participant will be out.

    • Balloon painting – Another fun activity that will surely entertain toddlers with the help of balloons involves drawing, coloring, and painting them. Give toddlers balloons and let them use their creativity and artistic skills by drawing funny faces or any other form of art there.

There are so many things that you can do with balloons, so you can turn them into exciting games and activities for toddlers. All it takes is to use your creativity and imagination and be more resourceful as you gather ideas on what to do with them.

    #4 – Musical Bumps

This particular activity is safer and more suitable for toddlers compared to the use of musical chairs. This game can be played with the help of some music and a minimum of two players.

Begin this activity by letting each group dance to the music and encourage them to be more creative with their dancing moves. The rule is for them to sit down when the music stops. Any toddler who was not able to do that will be out.

It has similar mechanics to the classic party game “Pass the Parcel”. The only difference is that the participants will be using a ball or balloon to pass around. The first thing that the participating toddlers should do would be to form a circle as they sit.

Let the birthday celebrant hold a ball or balloon. After that, play some music then ask the celebrant to pass the ball or balloon he/she is holding to the toddler who is sitting beside him/her.

Pause the music every now and then. Anyone who gets to hold the ball or balloon each time you stop the music will receive a treat or prize.

    #6 – Treasure hunt

Any form of treasure-hunting activity will surely be a treat for toddlers and kids. What you should do is build a small or big treasure hunt based on how big the party venue is. One example would be to prepare a big box and fill it with chocolate gold coins then hide it for toddlers and kids to find.

You can also make this activity even more fun and exciting for toddlers by putting treats on all hiding spots complete with clues. You can also print out a colorful map so the kids will enjoy looking for the hidden treasure.

Make sure that you also help and motivate them as they look for the treasure since there are toddlers who quickly lose focus and heart on the things they are doing. Aside from being totally fun, this treasure-hunting activity is also a good choice as it can help improve the cognitive skills of the young participants.

    #7 – Slime

Make your toddler party even bigger by using slime. All toddlers and kids, regardless of age, actually love slime, so you have a hundred percent assurance that these items can entertain them for long hours.

The good news is that you can actually make slime on your own, especially if you want to make sure that it is safe for kids. The only thing that you have to do is to mix shaving cream, baking soda, saline solution, food coloring, baby oil, and Elmer’s glue together.

Give the slime you have created to the invited kids, along with other shapes and toys that they can play with. You can even turn the slime into the actual theme for the party you are organizing. Expect your child’s friends to have fun playing with it.

    #8 – Indoor photo booth

One of the things that a lot of kids love at present is posing for pictures. This is true even for young toddlers. Also, parents are always in search of the perfect opportunity to take great shots of their kids that they can share on their social media accounts.

With that said, it is definitely a great idea to set up an indoor photo booth and make it part of your event. You can actually turn it into an incredible birthday decoration just by decorating the photo booth with certain things, like balloons.

    #9 – Follow the leader

This activity is something that you can do even if you do not spend time preparing for it. You can set it up on the spot. All it takes would be to let the participating toddlers form a line and then tell them this game involves following an adult in front.

In other words, they will have to copy each action of the adult in front of them. The leader may begin this game with a gentle walk and follow this up with other actions, like jumping forward, hopping, skipping, and turning around.

This particular activity will let the participants enjoy a bit of adventure as they also try to do various movements simultaneously. Whether they were able to do the movements correctly or not, the most important thing is that they enjoyed the whole adventure.

It is never that hard to plan for a toddler party. With the handful of toddler party activities and ideas presented in this article, I’m pretty sure you will be able to organize a party that your guests and the kids who are part of it will never forget.
